Welcome
LCI Study Overview
The Livable Centers Initiative (LCI) program, sponsored by the Atlanta Regional Commission, provides funding for planning studies and transportation projects located in activity and town centers throughout the Atlanta region. The focus of the program is to encourage increased residential development, mixed uses, and connectivity.
The Hampton Town Center LCI Study is the fourth such study in Henry County. The study area encompasses several hundred acres of land, including Main Street, adjacent historic and newer residential areas, Hampton Elementary School, the Southern States facility, and some vacant land near the intersection of Main Street and Highway 20.
Through the LCI process, the study will review existing conditions in central Hampton and, with input from community stakeholders like you, develop a long-term vision for the future. This vision will promote a more livable Hampton. Areas to be addressed include land use, parks and open space, environment, transportation, urban design, historic preservation, economic development, and public facilities.
The Livable Centers Initiative (LCI) Program
LCI stands for Livable Centers Initiative. Since 1999 the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) has been providing funding for planning studies and transportation projects across the Atlanta region. This program of studies and projects has become known as the Livable Centers Initiative (LCI). The focus of the program is to encourage increased residential development, mixed-uses and connectivity in different community types. For more information please click here (PDF).
